A starling endemic to Sulawesi, marked by an orange-red stripe past the eye and a golden-yellow rump.
An orange-red stripe runs from the nostrils over and behind the eye, with a black patch below and behind the eye. The head and body are charcoal-grey, the rump golden-yellow, and the wings olive-toned. The sexes look alike.
It is usually seen in pairs or trios, sometimes in larger flocks. It eats fruit and invertebrates and may join other mynas at fruiting trees.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
