Robbins's Tateril is a gerbil confirmed by chromosome data in the northern Sahel of Mauritania. The book distinguishes records from Mali and Niger as unconfirmed.
Its upperparts are pale sandy, and its underside is white.
It is recorded from sandy-clayey plains, fixed dunes, and cultivated areas in dry country. It is nocturnal and terrestrial, and is thought to feed mainly on seeds.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
