A shrew from northern Vietnam with dark gray-brown fur and a tail that is paler underneath.
The back is dark gray-brown; the dark gray tail is somewhat paler underneath.
Around Sa Pa, specimens were collected in mixed evergreen forest, wooded stream banks, and grassy glades, with more records from slightly disturbed mixed forest.
