This nicator lives in African forests. Its species page lists sound records from Cameroon, Uganda, Equatorial Guinea, and Angola.
It has greenish upperparts and grayish underparts, with a yellow throat and lores, yellow spots on the flight-feather tips and upperwing coverts, and a thick, robust bill.
It stays in forest and dense cover, where it gleans insects and other invertebrates from vegetation. It is much more often heard than seen because of its loud, rich song.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
