The Temotu flying fox is endemic to the Santa Cruz Islands of the Solomon Islands. It forages in daylight and feeds on fruit, flowers, and nectar.
Its fur is yellow to golden brown, and males have a darker mantle over the neck and shoulders.
It was often observed foraging in daylight, especially in late afternoon. Researchers also recorded it chewing breadfruit and ejecting the fibrous material.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
