The body is small, slender, and nearly cylindrical. The carapace reaches 4.3 mm in males and 4.4 mm in females. The short, straight projection at the front has 3–13 upper teeth and 1–2 lower teeth. A broad triangular part near the mouth has no finger-like tip. At collection site 11, the stream was 0.5–1 m wide and 0.2–0.3 m deep, with rocks, mud, leaf litter, and aquatic plants on the bottom. Many shrimp were found among leaf litter and marginal vegetation, and the water flowed slowly. It has been found in Tuncheng Town, Tunchang County, Hainan Island.
