This crab is known from Danum Valley, Sabah, Malaysia.
In the observed living specimens, the carapace is dark yellow to orange.
In 2017, an egg-carrying female was collected at a rotting log in Danum Valley. Individuals have also been observed climbing small shrubs.
In the observed living specimens, the walking legs are purple with scattered white specks.
In the observed living specimens, the merus and carpus of the chelipeds are orange, while the palms and fingers are white.
