The African Harrier-Hawk is a sub-Saharan raptor that uses unusually flexible legs to reach prey in holes and nests.
Adults have a small head, yellow bare facial skin, broad wings, and a long tail with a wide white band across it.
It climbs trunks and branches, reaching into cavities with flexible legs for eggs and nestlings. It also eats lizards, frogs, small mammals, and insects.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
