This tit inhabits dry woodland and savanna from southwestern Angola through western and central Namibia. It searches among mopane and acacia trees and shrubs for small invertebrates.
The adult male is black with a bluish sheen when the feathers are fresh; worn feathers look duller. The female is browner on the face and throat.
In mopane and acacia savannas, it moves actively among thorn trees and smaller bushes while searching for small invertebrates.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
