The Tamaulipan woodrat is a woodrat described from northeastern Mexico. The 1951 original account covered two specimens and recorded their collection among rock crevices.
The back is dusky brown, the sides are paler, and the underside is dusky. The tail looks scaly and is covered with short, sparse hairs.
The specimens were collected among rocks and crevices at the base of a small hill with thick vegetation and deep humus.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
