The Indian hare is a hare of grasslands, scrub and other open habitats in India and Sri Lanka.
It has a black band on the back of its neck, with long ears and hind feet.
It often rests alone in a shallow form in grass by day and feeds on plants; its diet changes with the seasons.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
