The Negros naked-backed fruit bat is a cave-roosting fruit bat recorded on Negros and Cebu in the Philippines. Live animals were confirmed during a 2001 survey on Cebu.
The wing membranes join the body high near the spine, making the back look bare even though fur is present beneath the skin of the wings.
It roosts in caves near the coast and flies out in the evening to feed on fruit. The Field Museum account also describes females gathering to give birth on Negros.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
