Lumholtz’s tree kangaroo lives in the upland forests of northern Queensland. It eats leaves and fruit and uses its tail for balance in the trees.
It has long, strong forearms and short, broad hind feet. Soft foot pads and claws help it grip branches and trunks.
It is nocturnal and sleeps high in the canopy during the day. It eats leaves and fruit and is usually solitary, though small groups sometimes gather.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
