This tube-nosed bat has records from Vietnam, Laos, and southern China. Known localities include limestone forest, but roosting and foraging remain poorly documented.
Shiny golden hairs are scattered through the darker brown fur on its back. The dorsal coat can look coppery, while the underside has dark hair bases and a creamy surface.
The original account placed northern Vietnamese records in landscapes with forest over limestone karst. Available records do not yet explain how it forages or where it roosts.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
