The shell is conical, with a partially closed umbilicus. The aperture is circular and very expanded, especially on the columellar side; its thickened double rim folds backwards into a wing-like structure on the upper outer side. The living body is cream-white, the head pink and the tentacles yellow or red. It lives on wet, mossy limestone walls and boulders in shady forests on limestone hills.
