This laughingthrush relative lives in mountain forests from the Himalayas to the Malay Peninsula. Flocks move through the middle and upper trees, eating insects and plant foods.
The crown is orange-brown, with a pale line above the eye. The throat is striped, and the dark tail has white and yellow markings.
It may travel in flocks of about 6 to 20 birds and feed in the middle levels of the forest. Its food includes insects, seeds, and fruit.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
