Known from the Kribi area of Cameroon, males of this spider have cone-shaped hairs just above the mouth.
In the described male, the upper front-body plate is ochre-yellow with broad brown lateral margins. Its brown rear mark connects to the brown eye region.
At the collection site between Kribi and Campo, it was found together with Smeringopina africana, and both seemed to use the same sheltered spaces near the ground.
Its legs are light brown with dark rings near the ends of the femora and tibiae and around the patellae; the femur and tibia tips are whitish. The abdomen has a distinct dark pattern.
In the described male, each of two barely elevated humps on the face below the eyes bears three cone-shaped hairs. Among males, the total varies from about four to 14; females lack the male facial modification.
Males have tiny cone-shaped hairs just above the mouth; females lack this modification.
