Daptomys mussoi is a waterside rodent recorded in the Andes. A 2014 Colombian record paper used the then-current genus Neusticomys and reported one specimen from Colombia.
The Colombian specimen had brownish fur and short whiskers that did not reach beyond the ears. Its tail was nearly uniform in color to the tip.
The specimen was collected in riparian forest about 10 m from Zapamanga Creek. The site had medium-sized trees, leaf litter, and a largely closed canopy.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
