Known from Crete, females of this spider have an oval genital area.
In the described male from the Chania area, the front body and legs are mostly ochre-yellow, with a slightly darker mark at the centre of the upper front-body plate.
In April 1985, a male was collected in an irrigation ditch south of Spili. In May 2003, a male and females were collected among herbs and stones around a lagoon, and one female was collected in grassland beside a rivulet.
Its underside front-body plate is light brown with small pale spots. The abdomen is unpatterned ochre-gray.
Two of the examined males had a rather cylindrical abdomen. The original type male was slightly smaller and quite pale compared with the other males.
The female genital area is oval and weakly projecting.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
