The Rose-breasted Chat differs strongly by sex and inhabits forest canopy and edges.
The male has a black head with a white line behind the eye, a white throat, and rosy-red underparts. The female has a blue-gray crown and cinnamon-colored face and underparts.
It lives in pairs and uses forest canopy and edges, including tall secondary growth. It sometimes joins mixed flocks of small insect-eating birds.
The eggs are entirely white.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
