This West African spider has males with large forward projections near the bases of the chelicerae.
The male chelicerae have very large, distinctive proximal frontal projections.
It has been found in forest.
In January 1959, three males, five females and juveniles were collected from the walls of Momi Cave, whose precise locality was not identified.
The cuticular abdominal pattern is very constant, but internal spots range from barely visible to very distinct.
In most newly examined males, the plate beneath the front body is reddish brown to dark brown with paler margins.
The female eye area is entirely dark brown. Its eye groups are closer together than the male’s and do not stand on humps.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
