Collected at Bunaken Island, this sponge has a thin, sheetlike form.
The described specimen formed a thin, irregular, folded sheet attached to the substrate at a few points.
It was collected on 17 January 2005 at 20 m depth at Tiwoho, Bunaken Island.
In life, the described specimen was azure-violet on the light-exposed side and beige on the shaded side.
The described specimen was soft and slightly elastic.
