The Rusty Bush Lark is a poorly known lark of dry savanna south of the Sahara. It was confirmed in Chad in 2026, the first documented record since 1931 and the first photographs of a living bird.
At 13–15 cm, it has a rufous, dark-streaked crown and upperparts, a pale eyebrow, rusty ear-coverts and buff underparts with fine upper-breast streaks.
It forages on the ground alone or in pairs and eats insects and seeds. Breeding is poorly known, though male display flights have been observed in some months.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
