This millipede is recorded from New Dabaga/Ulangambi Forest Reserve in the Udzungwa Mountains and Kalimbazi Mountain near Mazombe, Tanzania.
In the alcohol-preserved adult males examined in the 2014 report, each anal valve has a long, slightly curved dorsal spine and a well-developed ventral spine.
The November 2000 collection at New Dabaga/Ulangambi was recorded as fallow or cultivated land, while a separate January 1984 collection on Kalimbazi Mountain was from the forest floor.
On the dorsal side of the midbody rings in these males, the limbus has low lobes with truncated tips and strongly serrated edges.
In these males, the gonopod coxa has a massive, long, regularly curved spine arising from its metaplical shelf.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
