The described male collected in 2010 has broad brown bands with indistinct edges along the middle and sides of the upper front-body plate. Its lower face has two broad brown bands.
In July–August 1974, one male was collected from moss at 3500 m in the Ruwenzori Mountains on the Congolese side.
During the same expedition, two females and two juveniles were collected from dead wood at 2750 m.
Its legs are ochre-brown, with darker rings near the ends of the femora and tibiae.
Its abdomen has a distinct pattern on both the upper and lower surfaces.
Some examined males have an abdomen that is not widened toward the rear.
