This vole was recorded in the mountains of Oaxaca. Bailey’s 1900 specimen account describes its dark coat and tunnels beneath damp oak forest.
The described specimens had dark-gray backs with brown-tipped hairs, and dark underparts.
The historical account places it in damp oak forest, where it dug burrows and long underground tunnels.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
