This small lorikeet occurs on Bougainville and islands of the Solomon Islands. It travels in flocks through humid forest canopies while searching for flowers and soft fruit.
It is green with blue-gray streaks on the forehead and an olive-brown back. A yellow underwing band, yellow tail tips, and orange bill are also noted.
It feeds on nectar, pollen, and soft fruit, sometimes moving in flocks. It nests using moss in tree cavities.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
