This soft-furred mouse was studied on Mt. Oku in Cameroon. The survey caught it frequently in the mountain forests there.
The specimens had soft fur. In the survey, head-and-body length ranged about 110–169 mm and tail length about 93–194 mm, with variation among individuals.
The Mt. Oku small-mammal survey caught 97 individuals, about 34% of its small-mammal captures. This result depends on the survey sites and methods.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
