The Fiji Island Thrush occurs on almost all Fijian islands. Its abundance, elevation and plumage vary among islands.
Plumage is variable, but it is generally a dark thrush with an orange bill, eye-ring, legs and feet.
It forages at different levels of forest, including on the ground, and may give bursts of harsh chupping calls.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
