Von der Decken’s Hornbill lives in dry scrub and savanna in East Africa. Males have red and cream bills, while females have black bills.
The male’s bill is red and cream, while the female’s bill is entirely black.
During nesting, the female stays in a tree cavity and seals its entrance to a narrow slit. The male brings food through the opening to her and the chicks.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
