This bat has a short muzzle and a noseleaf with three rear projections. It inhabits desert and semidesert from North Africa through the Middle East, often near oases and dry riverbeds, and catches insects in flight.
The large noseleaf has three subtriangular projections on its rear edge. The dorsal fur is beige or pale brownish gray, with a somewhat paler underside.
It uses desert and semidesert habitats, mostly near oases and dry riverbeds, and flies low to catch beetles, moths, flies and grasshoppers. Day roosts include caves, mines, rock cavities and buildings.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
