This bat was recorded in Kachin State, northern Myanmar. The 2004 original description covered one specimen collected in Namdee Forest.
In the preserved specimen, the dorsal hairs were gray-brown at the tips and darker gray at the bases; the wing and tail membranes were dark gray-brown. The authors caution that live coloration was difficult to judge.
The specimen in the original description was collected in evergreen forest at Namdee Forest. Other vegetation is mentioned in the surrounding region, but evergreen forest is the habitat directly tied to this specimen.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
