This bat has frizzled pale-gray dorsal fur with white tips and a dirty-white underside. It is recorded in scrub in northern Ethiopia. The 2019 account concerns three specimens collected before 1877 and says its species status needs further confirmation.
The back has frizzled, pale earth-gray fur with white tips; the underside is dirty white and the flanks gray-brown. The wing and tail membranes are blackish brown, and the bat has funnel-shaped ears and a long, sharply pointed tragus.
Its habitat is described as scrub with Erica arborea and Hypericum revolutum. The account reports that this habitat has been heavily degraded by cereal agriculture.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
