This horseshoe bat is recorded from caves and nearby landscapes on Borneo. It roosts in limestone caves and searches for insects in dense vegetation. The certain range in the account is southwestern Sarawak; some central and eastern Kalimantan records have uncertain localities.
The dorsal hairs are gray at the base, making the back look dark brown overall. The underside is pale brown with a slight gray tinge.
It roosts in limestone caves. The caves where it has been captured are generally surrounded by remnant forest or plantations, and the account says it forages for insects in dense vegetation.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
