Adult males have a short, wide head distinct from the neck. Adult males have slightly long, slender forelimbs and hindlimbs. Adult males have smooth, flat, roughly circular scales on the palms and soles. During a single day of fieldwork, more than 30 individuals were observed active by day on granite boulders less than 2 m above ground at the base of a granite hillock predominantly covered by thorny scrub forest. They were found in shaded, relatively cool areas among the rocks. It is recorded near Kaiwara village, Chickballapur District, Karnataka, India.
