This bat is recorded from eastern Myanmar through Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia. HMW describes this range as tentative and says the species may occur more widely across Indochina.
The fur is silky and dense, ranging from buff to cream-buff. The face, ears, and wing membranes are brown; HMW describes the ears as funnel-shaped.
HMW lists various tropical forests as habitat for this species without narrowing the record to one forest type.
