This shrimp is known from Indonesia, the Solomon Islands, Australia and Papua New Guinea.
In the examined specimens, the rostrum is straight.
It lives in lower river courses, from estuarine brackish water to fresh water.
In the observed living specimens, the body is yellowish to reddish with many red dots.
In the examined specimens, the second leg is longer and more slender than the first.
