This crab is known from Malipo County, Yunnan, China.
In the examined adults, the carapace is wider than long, oval and pitted.
It usually hides under rocks in small hill streams. Some large specimens have also been collected from deep mud burrows in stream banks.
The examined adults have unequal-sized chelipeds.
In the examined adults, the final segments of the walking legs are slender.
