This short-tailed bat lives in New Zealand. The Department of Conservation describes it searching for food on the forest floor.
Its fur is mouse-grey, its ears are large and pointed, and its tail projects beyond the wing membrane.
When foraging on the forest floor, it uses its folded wings like forelimbs.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
