The Lesser Hoopoe-Lark is a long-legged, long-billed lark of dry Somali grasslands. It searches for insects on the ground, running quickly, and may perch on a tuft of grass.
It is slender, with a long bill and long legs. The upperparts are pale gray-brown; the whitish or buff underparts have faint mottling on the breast.
It favors dry lowland grassland, especially tussock grass. It runs over the ground to find mainly insects and often perches on top of grass tufts.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
