A2005 preliminary study analysed54 droppings from two groups at1,650–2,000m in El Nogalar. Four plant taxa dominated fruit consumption, with seasonal replacement among major foods.
Some abundant fruits were not detected in the diet, suggesting selection. Seeds showed no visible physical damage, supporting a possible role in dispersal.
