This Sri Lankan spider differs between males and females in eye elevation and body colour.
Male eye groups stand on stalks, with many long hairs behind the eye area. Female eye groups are barely elevated and lie closer together.
It has been found in Bodinagala Forest Reserve.
One female was collected on leaves in Peradeniya Botanical Gardens in 1982, and another from low jungle vegetation at Inginiyagala in 1972.
The described male has a mostly dark brown upper front body. Its abdomen is ochre-grey with dark dorsal marks.
Most females have an ochre-yellow upper front body with a light brown pattern. Some females from Ethagala have the entire rear half of that surface darkened.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
