The White-tipped Sicklebill inhabits humid forests from Central America to north-western South America. Its strongly downcurved bill helps it take nectar from Heliconia flowers.
Its bill is sharply downcurved, almost to a right angle. It is green above, striped white below, and the tail ends in white tips.
It uses the understory and edges of humid forest and is often found near Heliconia, whose flowers it feeds from.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
