This bat has pale-based, dark-tipped fur and a long muzzle and tongue for reaching nectar. It is recorded in dry forests and scrub across parts of Mexico.
Each dorsal hair is pale at the base and darker at the tip, while the underside is pale gray to tan. Its muzzle and tongue are long.
It prefers nectar and pollen but also eats soft fruits such as banana and sapote. It roosts in caves, tree hollows, culverts and other human-made structures.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
