Gurney's Pitta is a pitta whose males and females differ in head and belly color. It feeds on small animals on the forest floor in forests of southern Myanmar and southern Thailand.
The male has a blue crown, black-and-yellow underparts, and brown upperparts. The female has a brown crown and paler underparts.
It eats slugs, insects, and earthworms on the forest floor. In breeding research in Thailand, nestlings were fed almost exclusively earthworms.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
