The Black-billed Amazon is a Jamaica-endemic parrot whose red wing feathers stand out against its green body. It gathers in flocks in the forest canopy and eats fruits and seeds.
Adult males are green, with fine black edging on the neck feathers and red patches among the wing feathers. Females resemble males, but some of those red wing patches are green. Juveniles have green in all of those patches.
It lives in flocks of 6–40 birds or more and shares communal roosts. It feeds in the middle to upper canopy on seeds, fruits, berries, leaf buds, and blossoms.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
