The Córdoba laucha occurs in grasslands and agricultural areas of central Argentina. Its back is described as brownish gray to yellowish gray, with paler sides.
Its dorsal fur is soft and fairly long, with dull brownish- to yellowish-gray hairs tipped with black. The sides are sandy buff and the underside pale gray.
In central Argentine farmland, it is often recorded along grassy field margins, railway banks, and roadsides where vegetation remains. Home-range size changes with breeding season and population size.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
