This antbird occurs in central Amazonian Brazil. Its description places the known range between the Aripuanã and Machado river systems.
The described male has a pale eyebrow against a dark crown, a dark line through the eye and olive-brown edges on the back feathers.
It forages in low forest undergrowth and at small gaps or edges. Examined stomach contents included beetles and orthopterans.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
