The Moluccan Naked-backed Fruit Bat is a large fruit-eating bat whose wing membranes meet along the middle of its back, making the back appear bare. It occurs in the Moluccas.
The wing membranes join along the middle of the back and cover the fur beneath. The back is medium brown to gray-brown, the underside paler, and the ears are long and narrow.
It is active at night, eats fruit, and roosts in limestone caves and sheltered rock spaces. Some roosting groups contain many bats.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
