The Siberian musk deer is a small deer relative that lives in mountain forests. Males have tusks instead of antlers.
Males have no antlers and instead have tusks that project beyond the mouth. During the breeding season, males use them in competition with other males and in courtship.
It eats lichens, grasses and leaves, with lichens especially important in winter.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
